Mite Jamboree 2010! The kids were so excited. They had a bye Friday night, and then won their first game 10-2. The kids were so pumped to be playing in the Championship game. Ella helped mommy make a sign for Collin and when we were walking into the game on Sunday she was like a proud peacock - she was SO proud to be Collin's sister. She was his biggest fan. The kids did great. They lost the championship game 6-4, but they had so much fun. They got to have their names announced and won medals at the end. Collin did not care at all that they won 2nd place - gold or silver, it was a medal just the same! I think maybe mom and dad and grandmas and grandpas had just as much fun watching as the kids had playing. It really was a great season. It was so fun to watch how much Collin improved over the last few months. However we are even more proud of his attitude and spirit on the ice. He played his best, always had a smile on his face, was a good listener, and great teammate. He had such a great attitude, even though he was one of the youngest kids on the team. We are so proud of him!
THE KIDS WAITING TO GET ON THE ICE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! YOU COULDN'T BELIEVE THE EXCITEMENT.
One fun story from the hockey season......Collin had one front tooth that was pretty loose at one of his games. About half way through the game I could tell from across the ice that Collin was crying and he wasn't getting on the ice. Right away I thought - "oh no, he lost his tooth". Sure enough his tooth had fallen out and he was so upset because it was lost on the ice, and how was the tooth fairy going to come?? The coaches looked for it a little bit, and Matt finally convinced him to get back on the ice. After awhile Collin found the missing tooth in the back of his mouth guard! So at the age of 6 - he is already getting his teeth knocked out at hockey!! Great! :)
